WHO ARE WE?
ABOUT
Windermere Soccer Club was founded by Miguel Silva, whose passion for the game grew through his unique experiences living in Brazil and Portugal, two countries where soccer is more than a sport; it is a way of life. Miguel later attended the University of Central Florida, where he studied exercise physiology and developed an understanding of how movement, discipline, and teamwork can shape not only athletes, but people.
The idea behind Windermere Soccer Club is simple: soccer should be a tool to connect people. Our players come from many different paths including former college athletes, young adults preparing for higher levels, professionals balancing careers in medicine, business, or the military, and high school players with dreams of playing in college or beyond. What unites us is the belief that the love of the game belongs to everyone, no matter their background.
We are not here to close doors, but to open them. At Windermere Soccer Club, we believe the chance to play at a high level should not be dictated by where you come from, what you do for a living, or what stage of life you are in. What matters is the willingness to show up, work hard, and embrace the game with dedication and joy.
Although we enjoy recording matches and finding ways to improve, our focus is always on community. We are committed to building friendships, pushing each other to grow, and keeping the spirit of soccer alive. For us, it is not only about competition; it is about connection.
Windermere Soccer Club is where hard work, creativity, and community come together. Above all, it is a place where anyone with a love for the game can find a home.
OUR STRUCTURE
At Windermere Soccer Club, our focus is on people first. We believe the game of soccer is for everyone, no matter your age, background, or stage of life. Our approach is simple: create an environment where players can enjoy the game, challenge themselves, and grow both on and off the field.
For younger players, we encourage technical growth and creativity in a supportive setting that keeps the game fun and engaging. For older high school and college-level players, the club provides a chance to play in a competitive, community-driven environment where they can push themselves and prepare for higher levels of play. And for those who have already moved into careers, families, or new stages of life, the club offers a way to stay connected to the game, meet new people, and continue improving in a positive atmosphere.
While we enjoy competing and recording matches to learn from them, what matters most is the experience of playing together, supporting each other, and building lasting friendships. At Windermere Soccer Club, the game is not just about competition. It is about connection, growth, and community.
